In june of 2016 my brother in law was very ill, and being im from Denver I wasn't very familiar with the churches in Yuma. I asked several people who to contact at the St. John, to my surprise no one knew. So I found the church located a phone number on the door office, and in no time I was in contact with Father Johnathan, who was truly amazing and answered every question we had. He made himself available to us whenever we needed him. He even gave us his cell phone number. For this we are extremely grateful. My brother in law did pass away in August and again father john was there with us, every step to the end....

The priest denied my thirteen year old son communion for not coming to church often enough. The main reason we didn't go to church very often was because I lost my wife to suicide and she was a big part of the church and every time we went it was just very sad and I would cry throughout most of the service and it caused very much anxiety . He has since them continued to shame many members of my family and many other practicing Catholics which includes my daughter which he recently disallowed her from teaching CCD for reasons definitely not warranted ! He made a statement to me once that the reasons he does what he does is for his own salvation and this says it all .
